| Service guy on reception was scornful and surprised that I was alone and had some quiet apparently scornful comments to my person with other guy on reception. Also one day wifi internet service didnt work in pool area. Also waste hole near toilet was stinky all the time. TV signal was very weak and TV set was old. I had room No.504 !!! with jacuzzi and pool view on the ground floor. In check out also another guy on reception had offensive comments such as U made boom boom? I will never go again to this hotel. But girl stuff behaviour was pleasant and respectfully. |

| This was our second stay at Royal Orchid and again enjoyed the rooms, the helpful staff, and the beautiful location. Its location is a short walk to the main beach, but also more secluded and quiet during the day. |

| great to stay in Royal Orchid, We have got free upgrade from the garden view room to the pool view room with jacuzzi. The rooms is perfect. And the service is good and staff are helpful. However the location is a little far, take the tuk tuk and stop at woodlands resort, still need to walk around 10 mins to the Royal Orchid. |

| Nice hotel with nice huts and very helpful people. The only things is that they never clean the huts while you are there. You always have to ask before they clean it.
Very loud in the morning as the fishermen get up at 5h00 and start their boats right in front of your hut. |

| the hotel is not wath they shine too bee the internet is payabel the breakfeast is disgusting the rooms are full off mosquitos and the famus jaccuzi whas only a bathroomm seperatly hoow are not closed soo this roomm in the evening is not uesebal with light after fife minutes it is full off mosquitos and dust commes in the windows dont existe they use only mosquito tissue for windows soo this four star hotel is nothing more than a tow star hotel and for this price you have a nice hotel in pattaya and for mee one of the best in ths categorie 3300 bht per day |

| Vi hade bungalow B1 och B4 i B1 luktade det lite konstigt från badrummet om dörren varit stängd, men det är helt okey som budget alternativ. Tyvärr hade vi problem med utcheckningen i B1 hade dom strukit över den signerade summan på kvittot som vi signerade till städerskan när vi hade tagit varor från minibaren och laggt till en öl och i B4 hade dom laggt till chips och öl som inte var rätt. Men vi slapp dock att betala för det som var fel. |

| We stayed 3 nights in a bungalow with AC and hot water. It s not worth the money!
You can only have hot water when AC has been on 16 degrees Celcius for 1 hour! Then it s too cold to be inside. ANd the hot water is only enough for one person. The other bungalows might be worth the price. Mae Had is nice. |

| I stayed in a standard bungalow, which is pretty small. There was a leak in the bathroom sink which got worse every time the tap was turned on. The room felt very damp, the sheets felt damp, made it a little uncomfortable to sleep.
The decor in the bungalows is very average.
The restaurant is great, staff are friendly, they also have a souvenir shop. The atmosphere is nice in the evenings at the restauran/bar.
The major downside was the actual bungalow. |

| Other people we spoke to seemed to have a fine time here, but for us, our one night there was the worst experience of our 6 month trip. I m not sure if we just had bad luck, if the manager is just a jerk, or if it really is a bad place - you be the judge.
The food tasted good, but my boyfriend woke up at 4am with severe stomach pains an nausea. We had only eaten at this hotel the entire day, so we were sure that Royal Orchid was the source of the bad food. In addition to that, I woke up with a rash completely covering my arms and legs. Later, after I took my boyfriend to the hospital for food poisoning, the doctor told me that the rash was probably due to ticks in the bed/room. After seeing the doctor and admitting my boyfriend to the hospital, I called Royal Orchid and asked them to send a taxi for me. In spite of the pouring rain outside, the manager flatly refused to send a taxi because he said he wouldn t earn any money for that trip, and he urged me to stand out in the rain and hail a taxi. That was the last straw, after that I found another place and moved.
After my boyfriend recovered, we went back to try to get a refund for the days we already paid for, but didn t end up staying there for. Surprise, surprise, the manager refused to refund. Eventually we called a rep at Sawadee,com who contacted the owner, and we were able to get reimbursed for 50% of the extra nights we paid for. Oh well, half is better than nothing |

| This hotel is owned by a very bad man. During our time at the resort, 4 people were drowning. I asked to grab the life jackets and the owner leyt us. However after the whole debacle, the life jackets were lost and the owner made us pay for them.
Also we booked for a ferry from Koh Phanang to Surat Thani at 7 in the morning. We paid our ticket fare to the owner. He gave us no ticket and said that we just had to mention his hotel name to the boat man once we got to the pier. After we reached the pier, the boat man refused us entry and we had to re purchase tickets. Absolute rubbish of a place as it is also very far from Harin Beach where full moon party is. |

| disaster. dead and live cockroaches constantly reappearing in our bathroom. our fan room was beyond sweltering and room was moldy and stuffy. extremely overpriced. when we informed the man in charge that we would be leaving the following day and would like our money back for the next night (we had reserved two nights stay and paid both upon arrival), he refused. this escalated into a heated argument, at which resulted in him making us leave immediately ( it was after 9:30 pm, which in that area may have been 3 am) in order to get our money for the following night. another couple who was staying and paying 800 baht for an a/c room also reported cockroaches. we moved to haad salad villa on the next beach and stayed for a week. much recommended. |

| Good value, great location. Quiet end of the bay, a short walk to the beach. No-AC bungalows very basic, but adequate. VIP AC bungalows well equipped. Staff very courteous, English speaking, friendly to our entire family. Food good. Standard services. Would definitely return! |

| Reasonably nice 3 star hotel and good value for the price. Staff are very nice; rooms are spacious and clean; the location is very quiet and 4 blocks from the main road. However, there were no little extras like brochures and travel information about Pattaya, no price list for laundry, and the restaurant offered a limited menu. Breakfast was good. This would be a good hotel for families and couples who want a quiet vacation. We wanted something more upscale and closer to the main road so changed hotels after 3 nights. |

| The Royal Orchid is exactly as stated in their brochure. The rooms are kept very clean and have all the amenities plus. A very good value for the cost. Quiet area, large pool, and helpful staff. |
