| For 1700 THB I expected a much better hotel. At the time of my stay, no swimming pool and no free internet access was available. Laundry extremelly expencive. Many other hotels offer much better facilities,service and quality. Very dissapointed.
At the time of my arrival, had water problem in my room, not same type of room was available, offered a superior room. Next day, I been asked to change and move room again. The only thing the staff did for me is to say sorry sir . I work in the same industry and in case of accidents, we offer to our Guests much more than a simple word SORRY . |

| I stayed 2 nights here. I was with my wife and a 5years old son. This might not be very good location for families b/c there are many bars and pubs in the street and also many drunk people. Otherwise hotel is neat and clean. Value for money b/c we went in high season and also chinese new year celebrations were in process.
Staff was very very friendly and cooperative. I and my wife left my son in the room in the night asleep. When we came back they opened room for us from their master key and took care of us in nice way. |

| Big clean room. Good location. Hotel is placed near of Central Festival, not far from Walking Street and pier, it is quite enough and street music is not very loud if your room is placed at 7th floor or higher. Good breakfast. I stayed only one night, so could not check the swimming pool. |

| i found this hotel to be more than i expected. Service staff are nice to deal with and the room was great. There was some construction going on but it never bothered me at all. The buffet breakfast is fantastic, my compliments to the chef. And yes, i did tell him in person. | I have stayed here twice before but in the older hotel section and have always been happy with my room, but this time I was able to get a Standard Sea view Room in the residence section on the 11th floor. I have to say I didn t notice anything better in this part, The room was a bit smaller than my two previous stays but it was nice to have a balcony. My only criticism was the Aircon was terrible. I spoke to another guest on the same floor who had the same problem. Not sure if its the same in the whole residence section or just the upper floors or just a fault while I was their. I think if your an expat living in Thailand or come from a hotter country than the UK you will be fine but for me I need to sleep in a freezing cold room in order to recharge for the next day, I guess it never got below 26C, I m sure if I had asked the staff they would have moved me to another room but I decided to stick it out. I will stay at the Sunshine again but only in the hotel section. |

| Very comfortable as long as you are in the residence section being the bigger newer part of the Hotel. I was in the older section last year and was slightly disappointed. Breakfast was included every day and they had lots of choices. Everything was clean with the bed sheets being changed daily and very pleasing was the happy smiling staff. The pool & surrounding area are wonderful with plenty of shade & sun loungers. Be sure to see POP the tailor that shares some of the ground floor shopping arcade as he can be trusted & gives value for your baht.
I would give 9 out of 10 for the Sunshine Hotel, bearing in mind it is probably the equivalent of a western 2 star hotel. |

| I stayed in the Sunshine Hotel on Sois 8 in Pattaya. The staff were attentive and extremely polite. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was adequate.I strongly recommend this accomodation to any visitors to Pattaya.Attached to the Hotel is a Tailor shop which I recommend if you want clothes tailor made.Pop,the owner of the shop is a very gregarious person and very helpful with advice as to the best value places to eat and drink.I intend to return to this Hotel next year and look forward to any comments that are posted in reply to this. |

| The hotel transfer us to another hotel by the same company under our agreement, because they said they re full when we arraived. The room is quite different from it shows on photo, old and small.

| Positive points: (Comments relate to deluxe seaview room only) Great location on Soi 8 for adult travellers. Loads of beer bars and agogo s. Probably not suited to families as there are a lot of bargirls coming and going and if you want to get to sleep before 2am, do not stay in this hotel as the boom boom bar music is still loud even on the 12th floor. I stayed in the Deluxe seaview room (number 2121) on the 12th floor which had a good seaview. However, room number 2127 I stayed in the previous year has the best view of all the rooms on the top floor as you can see out of two balconies as it is a corner room. Try to get this room if you can. On both visits to the hotel I found the aircon quite poor. After mentioning this, they sent a maintenance guy up with a bucket of water and a new fan. He was 5 mins on the roof and the AC was cold again. The room is large, has good TV channels and also has a safe. The Internet is not free but for 350Bt you can get 7 days of WiFi web access in your room. Breakfast is included and there is plenty to choose from at the buffet both hot and cold. Negative points: None really. This hotel is very good value for money right in the heart of the action. If anything could be improved I suppose the rooms could do with a fresh coat of paint but that is just nit picking. |

| Well located, nice value for money hotel. However, considering that I had done my bookings through sawadee.com on 15 December 2009, for a stay from 31 Jan- 04 Feb 2010 & requested for a Room preferably on a higher floor with a good view, the request was not granted. The Hotel has unfortunately seen better days. The rooms leave a lot to be desired - The linen is old, so are the Bath towels. The Blankets are worn out The Hotel needs maintenance desperately. The Silver Lining was the good Breakfast! |
